How does the GPS system know where my corners are?

Unfortunately, it doesn’t! That's not how GPS works, but we have provided a brief description of the GPS system itself if you're curious.

In practical terms, we'll use the legal property description to determine where any parcel of land lies within a given section. We measure from the section corners - and modern surveyors rely on the GPS-enhanced tools and techniques wherever and whenever possible to save time completing your survey while enhancing reliability.

Certain factors, such as tree canopy coverage, can limit our choice of tools, but ideally survey-grade GPS equipment is our preference both for expediting the field work and for improved precision and accuracy.
